The advert for Man caught my eye as each of the roles on the graduate scheme had some sort of quantitative element – an area I was really interested in. I’ve undertaken five different placements since then, including six months in Switzerland until returning to a full-time role with Product Engineering a few months ago.

I now work on the statistical modelling of the products we’re looking to release to make sure they’re viable for our clients. It’s a high-profile role, not least because we’re dealing with different departments around the business to get input into the results.

Although the culture is flexible and easy going, this can work both ways. To move projects forward you need to be inventive in how you manage your own time. It’s very supportive but, ultimately, it’s the energy you put in that gets things done.
