I was already working for an investment bank prior to applying to Man and really needed some different exposure and a better work life balance. At Man, I get both, with a fast-paced working environment coupled with an even faster paced game of kickball in the evenings!

At the moment I’m managing the team responsible for our Glenwood Portfolio – and the investment decisions that go with that. Alongside this, I get involved in launches, liquidations and seeing the whole life of a fund from creation through to its maturity.

It’s hard work and you need to be adaptable – considering the market is always moving. In fact, for the two years I’ve been in my role, I don’t think there’s been a month that hasn’t seen some sort of change. It’s great to be involved in so many different things.

Our team is also involved in the Special Olympics. We’ve donated computers and I’ve been encouraged to do some voluntary work. All the people here are great and that sort of opportunity, to help others, is really valuable.

If you’re after a great place to develop your career then no one will hold you back here. My future, despite the tough market conditions, is very positive and the growth we’re experiencing can only hold more and more opportunities for me in the future.
