As part of our recruitment process and in order to consider you for employment or a graduate scheme with us this website enables us to collect necessary personal data about you. During the course of the recruitment and selection process, we may request further information about you to assess your suitability for positions with Man Group.

In the event you provide Man Group with nonpublic personal information about yourself (e.g., name, address, phone number, email address) for application purposes, the following are the steps we take to safeguard such nonpublic personal information.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT:

In order to manage your application Man Group may collect the following types of personal information ("Personal Information"):

  • personal data allowing you to be identified (e.g. surname, first name, date of birth and e-mail address).
  • information to enable launching the recruitment procedure (e.g. citizenship, private address, country, telephone/fax number)
  • information to allow the verification of your eligibility for the job or the graduate scheme (e.g. CV, university degree diploma, education and career history, languages)
  • if applicable, results of the pre-selection process, interviews, written/oral tests, etc.

We rarely need to collect sensitive information (such as ethnicity, religious beliefs, health and criminal record) and will not do so without consent. References from your current or former employer(s) or other sources will only be obtained with your written or verbal consent.

PURPOSE OF COLLECTING AND PROCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION:

We use the Personal Information for the purpose of organising selection procedures to recruit staff and to manage applications at the various stages of these selections
Man Group will ensure that your Personal Information is protected from unauthorized access or modification or improper use. However please note, the internet is an open system, internet communication may not be secure and you send your Personal Information at your own personal risk. Man Group cannot guarantee that the Personal Information you have submitted electronically will not be intercepted by others and we recommend you do not send confidential information to us over the internet unless it is sent by some secure method of transmission using appropriate encryption technology. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:

Man Group restricts access to your Personal Information and your Personal Information will be used only by staff of Man Group directly involved in the recruitment and selection process. Information will not be disclosed to third parties except when permitted or required by law, when we have your explicit consent or in cases where the third party is a contractor or supplier whom Man Group has engaged specifically to assist with our recruiting activities. All such third parties will be bound contractually to keep your Personal Information confidential.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO OTHER COUNTRIES

Personal Information collected by Man Group may be transferred internationally to other Man Group world-wide, where the recruitment purposes so requires. By submitting your Personal Information on the Man Group website, you are proving explicit consent to trans-border transmission of such data collected on the website for the fulfilment of recruitment applications.

RETENTION PERIOD OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Man Group may retain the information in your application in order to consider you against other opportunities that may arise unless the applicant requests Man Group to delete them.
